A mass of young people, both in developed and developing countries are faced with a similar problem that is gradually but inadvertently threatening the future of human existence. Growing up as a youth in the 21st century can be quite a challenge especially as all fingers are not equal and not all families have access to the same resources to train their children. Unfortunately, we are not doing enough to help the youth generation of today to flourish and maximize their inherent potentials to the best of their possibilities. (Yeah i mean you too....ask yourself what have you done to add value to a needing childs life.......)
As impending leaders of tomorrow, they live in this ‘NEW WORLD’ of Information technology, socio-political intolerance and economic aggression. If not nurtured and supported to achieve sustainable peaceful existence and thrive to make the best of their livelihoods, we are yet to feel the full brunt of youthful exuberance..............(basically energy channeled towards destruction)
Factually, young people need to be a part of community development as they are at the crux of the community and the fallout of their antisocial behaviour ends up costing a lot more than would have been spent in keeping them constructively engaged, not laying emphasis on the material cost alone but also the emotional and structural damage they cause, primarily due to lack of sustainable and constructive engagement.
While on the topic, I believe strong emphasis should be placed on creating a new generation of activities and services for older children with high quality opportunities for constructive development around youth centres in every community linked in to specialist help for those who need it. The teenage years of every child are a crucial stage of development when their minds are impressionable and open to all options; if not positively nurtured, destructive pathways into adulthood and life chances are formed, and in many cases set from a young age.
Try this on for SIZE.....

Otherwise, this is what (who) our youths might become.....
Personally, haven come from a developing world to a developed nation, it is evident that both ends of the spectrum are ridden with the same challenges facing the youth; no gainful involvement to harness the potentials of these youths, ranging from children in main stream education to those in vocational training and coming down to the kids that that roam the street with no sense of constructive direction that the society now tag as ‘social miscreants’
If we intend to reap a future of sustainable peaceful co-existence and development, we need to sow fruitful seeds for a better tomorrow.
Listen to the children……help them harness their potentials to secure a future for them and for ourselves.
Remember Salta loves all,
Truth is Change and Change is Truth.......
