Youth restiveness in the Niger Delta....

…..Hmmm It is obviously because of the Social Injustice and socio-economic degradation of the region.... With a valid reason to stand against Social injustice and no means of gainful occupation, Young people in the region take to what seems like the best option to tackle the issues in the Region.

Oga Asari and all you lot out there saying you are FIGHTING for your rights in the Niger Delta….do you know the aftermath of your FIGHT. By all means stand for what you believe in and speak out for change to better the lot of the people of the region but PLEEEASEEE, think about the outcome of your actions and THE PEOPLE it affects just as how much it affects them…..

I understand your grievance with the government and the Multi-nationals in the region but think about it... your approach to the issue has only led to more bloodshed, fractioned militancy that have gotten out of control and more suffering for the innocent.

The $million question here then is …..ARE WE DOING THIS RIGHT….how can we genuinely send out our message across to bring about sustainable and beneficial socio-economic change to the region with limited casualties…(especially the innocent) Suffice to say the real culprits are in the comfort of their well comfortable sofa's watching their bank accounts; (home and abroad) grow children and grandchildren.

I know you are not asking me but if you ask, I would say NON-VIOLENT CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE is the solution to your quest. Give it a thought and rethink your strategy on the Niger Delta issue.

I am a strong believer in fairness and equality for all...but if you think about it, your actions, though grounded in TRUTH are causing more harm than good to the innocent and helpless people in the region....the vulnerable youths and the elderly suffer for this as the youths trade their youthful days for violence and the elderly bury their own children with their hands…..

Learn from people like Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jnr.....they sought change but PASSIVE RESISTANCE and NON-VIOLENCE were key in their struggle for CHANGE.

Got any ideas how to channel their youthful energies into more productive socio-economic activities instead of terrorizing their communities, vandalism and hostage-taking

Get thinking....With nothing better to do and a reason to STAND UP for their rights, this is what they turn to.....
Tell urself the truth and ponder on this See this link and then ask urself some questions.....

Salta loves...

TRUTH IS CHANGE AND CHANGE IS TRUTH....
