Wind beneath my sail….

Hallo Y’all,

In the true British sense, the weather looks good today…they say we’ll have some showers during the weekend…What do I care, I’ll be planning my strategy for World Peace so the sound of rain dripping down my window might just help my thoughts……

Remembering back in naija, its more like rain drizzling..…Anyho, dats Oyinbo man land for you oh….all the brohaha about the weather like there is nothing better to talk about...what about more challenging things like....ehmmm lets seee.....

On a personal note, I woke up this morning feeling like it was my D-DAY, I have got my blackberry (adupe direct debit oh) now so I can blog-on –the-go….How nice is dat….. I can finally put my frozen Samsung away somewhere.

Plus, ….I finally have my A- game back on so I am back on track....I have been incommunicado for about two years now...getting my masters and working to pay off my 'OUT STANDINGS'.....
This missy has had to work hard for everything she has....thus I earned the title INDEPENDENT WOMAN.(though self acclaimed ….)

Obviously not linked in anyway to my last blog, but guess who suddenly decided to take a less violent approach to the Niger Delta issue a.k.a OIL WAR. Members of MEND (Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta) actually handed over two German hostages kidnapped last month. MEND claims that they rescued them from a criminal militant group…yeah right…… and can I just ask is that one of the groups that ARMED RESISTANCE TO SOCIAL INJUSTICE created….in their clamour for CHANGE….

I just hope this marks the beginning of a change in the approach to the Niger Delta issue by the Youths and other stakeholders involved….. I’ll still keep praying for God to speak to major stakeholders involved and touch their hearts and I shoot out a Cupids arrow to them all ……

On another note….. Today feels like the beginning of the rest of my life…then again…dats how everyday feels…the only difference is that every new day brings a new twist…. Getting outta bed this morning, I looked at my hands and realized I am fast developing Madonna hands…..that means this sister is ageing oh…

Coincidentally, the material gal turns 50 tomorrow, aside from her youthful physique (RELATIVE) that she attributes to vigorous exercise and careful diet, she looks nowhere near her actual age. Her truth gauge is in her gnarled, wrinkled and vein-ravaged hands that reveal she is battling to defy the obvious signs of ageing. Oh my God, are u telling me my hands are gonna look like that again….I am going back on my sugar and Olive oil therapy….(It worked perfectly for me while I was in Uni….that was my hand cream.

Moving to an EDUCATIONAL plane…. For all the Nigerian Kids that made their A- levels…thumbs up to y’all and for those that didn’t JAM the UK version of JAMB (A-levels)….Look on the bright side….there is still time to make it…It just means there is a lesson to be learnt….we don’t all make it initially, that doesn’t make those that passed better than you…. …..I found this story about these Nigerian quads that made their A-levels and got into Universities of their choice….. Just thot I’d share with y’all….. The Oke quadruplets, Tolu, Tayo, Tobi and Tosin, from Woolwich, south-east London, all studied at St Francis Xavier Sixth Form College in Balham.

Remember people, the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do nothing
